Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 4 November 2026

This policy applies to everyone who uses Traumality®, operated by Traumality Ltd (company number 16556209, Scotland, UK). It sets out what is prohibited on the platform and how we enforce it. Please read it alongside our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

1. Prohibited products and services

The following may not be sold, offered or promoted on Traumality:

  • Medical or clinical services: Unregulated medical, psychiatric or therapeutic consultations, unlicensed mental health treatments, crisis intervention services, prescription drugs, alternative medicines, or any claim to treat, diagnose or cure a mental or physical health condition.
  • Physical goods and unrelated services: Physical products, dropshipping, independent merchandise or third-party goods.
  • Financial products: Financial advice, investments, multi-level marketing, get-rich-quick schemes or cryptocurrency transactions.
  • Illegal or regulated items: Firearms, weapons, controlled substances, alcohol, tobacco, adult services, pornography or gambling.
  • Copyright infringement: Unauthorised, pirated or unlicensed intellectual property, media or teaching materials.

2. Prohibited content and behaviour

  • Harassment and hate speech: Hate speech, discrimination, threats, bullying, stalking or harassment of any person.
  • Misinformation and harmful advice: Diagnosing other members, unverified medical claims, promotion of self-harm or dangerous therapies.
  • Spam and unauthorised promotion: Unsolicited sales messages, affiliate spam, repeated self-promotion or unwanted private messages.
  • Privacy violations: Sharing personal information, medical histories or client case details without lawful consent.

3. Controls: how we prevent breaches

Traumality is a curated educational and media platform, not an open marketplace.

  • Fixed inventory: Our core inventory is a fixed set of items published by Traumality Ltd: rentals of the documentary Traumality, official screening licences and staff-managed events.
  • Pre-vetting: Third parties cannot create their own listings or storefronts. Any host, facilitator or partner offering an event, course or Space is manually reviewed and approved by Traumality management before anything is published.
  • Transaction monitoring: All payments and licence requests are logged and reviewed by our team through our administrative dashboards.
  • Community moderation: Community posts are overseen by admins and moderators. Spaces can require approval before posts appear, and members can report content for review under our Community Guidelines.
  • Ongoing reviews: Host materials, Space descriptions and event listings are reviewed regularly, with closer review of the most active hosts, to make sure they stay within this policy.

4. Consequences of a breach

Where a host, seller or member is suspected or found to have breached this policy, Traumality Ltd may take any of the following actions:

  • Removal: The listing, post or event is taken down immediately.
  • Payout hold: Related payouts and balances are held while we review the matter.
  • Refunds: Affected buyers are refunded in line with consumer protection law.
  • Warnings and suspension: Accounts may be formally warned, restricted or suspended.
  • Permanent termination: Serious or repeated breaches lead to permanent account closure, and we will report to payment providers and authorities where the law requires.
